  My favourite place in all of Adelaide. I visit this gallery almost every time I go to the city. There's always something new to see, and the director's vision - to arrange artworks by theme or association - is (for me, at least) thoroughly inspired. The café out the back is superb. I usually stop for coffee or a glass of wine. Exquisite wine list.

  I first visited the gallery as a school kid and have spent many, many hours there over the years since. I'm proud of our gallery and love seeing the blend of different works and the way they come together. Great spot to stay cool on a hot day or warm in winter and soak up some inspiration.

  Pretty amazing, no photos but it was cool. They have a safe place to keep any belongings that you don't want to bring in. The vibe is very quiet which is nice.

  Very interesting exhibits mixing contemporary art with historical pieces. Something to enjoy for everyone at different levels of art appreciation. Fantastic gallery space. Best thing is that admission is free.

  For a small museum it has a big impact. The layout and arrangements are thoughtful and thought provoking. The mix of contemporary with old works provides counterpoints and statements about Australia's past and present. The installation in Gallery 11 is particularly powerful.
